What the religious debate of the previous reviewers has missed, is that Andrea has literary license to express herself, her beliefs, her insights to her Creator's purpose. This is a STORY site, not a porn site. If an author can connect to her readers, can touch who they are inside, then this is an AWESOME writer; regardless of if the reader agrees or not to the ideas presented.
The parable has been used for thousands of years to tell stories and convey ideas, long before the time of Christ or Mohammed. It is a means to convey complex ideas in simpler terms that are easily grasped and easily remembered; and Andrea has used this very effective tool to good advantage.
Anyone looking for porn, look elsewhere.

I have to disagree with Ballet Boy Jamie. Your writing is inspired and wonderful. I myself am a Christian raised in a strict household and taught to believe that so many things were sinful. I sought out sites like these not to be sinful but to share a side of who I am that is not wrong but just is. The church (at least for most denominations) doesn't understand this and is barely getting its head around Homosexuals let alone the wider rainbow of genders. I have for the past 13 years been a vocal supporter of liberal movements within my denomination - but can understand how hard it must be for others to Google "Biblical perspectives on Transgenderism" and get a whole load of hate spiel aimed at who you are.
Either way, the Jesus I see in your writing is truly the one that I recognise from the bible rather than the one presented by the hatemongers - can't wait to see how the story progresses.

So, if I'm truly Christian, which I am not by the way, then I can't be transgendered or gay. I don't think I see the connection here. The trouble with many beliefs is that they make the believer ignore reality. There is absolutely no connection between LGBT and being a good or bad Christian. Besides, the characters in this story aren't Christian. They are probably Jewish; they do use the same Bible up to a point., though. People do not choose to be gay or transgendered. They just are. As soon as some people get their heads out of where the sun doesn't shine about this, this world will be better off.
That's the whole point of this story. Unfortunately, nearly 2000 years later, many peop;e still can't get it right.
Great story 'Drea.

I don't know. It feels odd to have such Christian- based (with capitalized LORD's and chapter/verse lists on the main description) on this site, which is, let's face it, essentially a transgender story-porn site. As in, one with loads of un-Christian sex and ideas.
I would at least 'get it' if you were prosyletizing against the site and sneaking this in as spam, but you're obviously not doing that. You are doing it honestly, mixing in your particular cult's dogma and "Good Book" with your TG themes.
I guess I don't REALLY have a problem with it, until the inevitable happens; one of you Christian's beliefs differeng from the others and the comments section degrades into a chapter-and-verse war, or competing stories wherin the authors up the ante in ability to quote the Bible.
In a perfect world, I'd not mention this at all; a world where tolerance to beliefs was universal. However, I'm not dumb enough to believe that.
Heck, I was raised in the United Church and should be immune to evangelical Christians, but instead, my hackles rise when I'm perusing what should be a porn site (I know it's not really such but come on, we all come here to 'get off' a little') and find myself looking at the front page and finding two stories that appear to have been written by my 5th-grade Sunday School teacher.
I'm guessing more folks here would feel that way if it were a Muslim story quoting the Qu'ran, but to me, all religions are the same; groups of people that think all the OTHER people are wrong... and I dislike finding Bible- (or Qu'ran-, or Torah-, etc. etc.) based literature on sites where I go to be BAD.
I guess it's my own problem, really, then, isn't it? Giggle. Oh well, I'm hitting "Submit" on this anyway.
Love ya, Andrea; I do think you are an AWESOME writer, just not my style. Keep on writing, and I'll leave you alone now :).
