The segue from one reality to another is extremely skilful and almost seamless. The frightening thing here is not that the narrator by his imagination has reinvented himself as a different (and female) person. It's that he's invented a whole world (including a Tory MP boyfriend!) to support it. Now that really is frightening!

Interesting story, nice writing. A little bit predictable, but keeps you reading till you finish.

Perhaps, the writers that get it right can sense it; but those that get it perfect, can actually rewrite their place in the 'matrix'

Author's Response: That's what I'm striving for. I can never write about transitioning from experience because it's something I have no intention of doing in real life. All I can do is invent hypothetical situations populated by characters with whom I can empathise, and who go through situations which may be of interest to readers of tg fiction.

It's nicely done, I like well done Author becomes character stories like Stephen King's "Umney's last case" or Edmond Hamilton's "The Exile" this is up there with them with a TG twist.

Author's Response: Thank you. This was meant as a cautionary tale, to demonstrate how a writer's work can suffer if they allow their private fantasies to take over.

Sweet! What a clever little story!

Author's Response: Thanks. But it was meant to be quite sinister.
