“I was honestly starting to think Justin was a ghost, since I hadn’t seen him in months, despite his room still clearly being lived in.”
Justin: *walks in*
Cat: *juggling flaming crystal swords*
Billie: *explaining changes and advancements in human music to Fenrir while tuning a guitar*
Crystal: *bench-pressing the couch with three ethereal kobolds sitting on it*
Arey: *trying to figure out a cell phone*
Author's Response: Yeah, admittedly, I HAD planned for Justin to at least be a minor character, but so much was going on that proved to be more important, and I never got around to introducing him. The time skip came along, and my improv instincts kicked in, deciding on a whim to lean into his lack of materialization as a running gag.

Yay! Another Norse Billy! Woot! (There's a norse Billy in my story Mandate of Heaven). I really dig this story so far Queen of Blades - I can't wait to see where you go with it!
Author's Response: I won’t lie: I named him after Billy. I conceived of the character, then when trying to come up with a name I thought of Mandate Of Heaven and the name just sort of stuck. I hope you don’t mind. Consider it a bit of an homage!

Yay, thanks for the Chapter!
Hmm, I wonder if because she wasn't born under the moon or maybe because she was 'forced' into the ritual by Odin she isnt under the betrothal curse. Or, if she is then come on girls keep her away from him. I like Arey and I think we found our new girl a guardian of sorts perhaps? Or maybe she'll be lucky enough to meet a Valkyrie. Will say one thing though is that she doesnt seem to need another in order to make monsters.
I also wonder than if the form she has now is her real form or if her real form is something a bit more monstrous in nature
Author's Response: You clearly know your Norse mythology, catching on to Odin’s trickery ;)

Cool! I love some norse mythology! Can't wait to see more!
Author's Response: Eeeeee! Thank you so much! I’ve admired your work for a while now, and it means so much to hear that! Also, I’d be lying if I didn’t admit to drawing a bit of inspiration from The Mandate of Heaven.
