This chapter got me a little confused, I felt like i had skipped some paragraph and some development between Rachel and Abbie on the first half, and even got back to check. Actually i really found something that i had forgotten, but still felt like it was missing something.
Anyway besides that i'm still liking how you write and how the story goes very, very much. Very nice job, keep it up!
Author's Response: Hi, Rks. Yeah, this is a little quick. I had to accelerate things between Rachel and Abbie in order to sink it with the other plot. You didn't miss anything, I just messed up. If I were to do this again, I'd time things better. This is entirely my bad. I had a choice between carrying on, or going back and rewriting previous chapters. Sorry!

Well that was interesting..... Is she what would be considered as a 'slacker genius?'
Author's Response: Depends on your definition of 'genius.' She certainly has an advantage over her classmates, in that she really has learned this material before. She's even taught this material before. Just not in her current incarnation. Geoff was a 60 years old, with a masters in engineering, and if he didn't know this material inside and out, he wouldn't be much of an engineer. On the other hand, we know from the previous story that Rachel is "more intelligent and more intuitive" than the average human, explaining her new found facility with languages, music, and art. I'm not going to specify an IQ or anything. Suffice it to say, she'll be as smart as the narrative needs her to be.

Woo! I'm glad you continued this Luthien - I really enjoyed the tale of Rachel and I'd love to see where it goes. I'll be following this story for a while i think. Thanks for continuing it!
Author's Response: Thank you, Kathryn! Watch this space for more!
